Making decisions (week 13)


GOOD WILL HUNTING

Good Will Hunting would be the latest film I have seen and one of my favourites. Will is a teenager who works in a university as a maintenance man. One day, he is cleaning one of the corridors when all of a sudden he discovers a maths question written on a wall. Finding out the answer would be easy to Will as he is a real genius, although he did not know it yet. Nobody else was able to solve that problem so the maths teacher got interested in Will and he decided to help him in order to become a recognized mathematician. However, Will did have several personal issues and it was difficult for him to study and stay focus. Finally, with some help of an amazing psychologist, he could combine his personal life with his studies and become one of the best mathematicians in the world. Working for the State would be the begining of a brilliant professional life.

In order to improve my English, during this week I have gone with my friends to an English Pub at the beach where I talked to some waiters and practiced my pronunciation. I ordered some drinks and talked to them about my parents, as they become close friends last summer.

Advice, modal verbs (week 4)

Firstly, we can appreciate an expression related to advice in the second paragraph as it says ''the first step you need to take is to determine...'' as the person writing this letter is encouraging the reader to determine what he would like to specialize on the sooner as possible. A few sentences later we can find the expression '' The most important thing here is to pick what...'' where the writer is making the reader aware of the fact that the most important thing is to follow his heart in order to choose an area of study in which he would really enjoy. The same happens at the end of the text when he says ''you need to do something that you enjoy and love'', once again the writer is advicing the reader in order to do what he loves the most. What I have lived for

One of the most important things for me in life is my family. Not only my parents and younger brother but all of my close relatives as well. They are the one who always support me no matter what. I do love their attitude, the way they make me laugh whenever it seems like my mouth has disappeared from my face. I would like making them as happy as they make me feel. My friends are in addition an important part of myself to consider. I spend with them most of my time and we share not only hobbies but emotions as well. It is due to the fact that we are from similar ages so we go through similar problems and use to confront them in group, by supporting each other and going out and about just in order to forget about problems for a few minutes and remember that we are young and we should enjoy the positive facts about life. You live and learn (week 11)

As a matter of fact, studying and working abroad would be an enriching opportunity. Germany is a big country which creates great job oppotunities for foreigners who had not been able to success in their own country. Not only the educational system in Germany is free but it is also one of the most popular in Europe. After leaving university, it is really easy to find a job which suits each person according to their studies. Besides, students would learn the language and make some friends. Leaving Germany would be difficult for them, they will enjoy the experience for sure.  Being a student in Ireland has several advantages. There is a great amount of recognized univerisities where students can develop their studying skills while learning some English. Studying in Ireland would also be beneficial according to the fact that it has a well-funded educational system.
