Colours (week 14)

ARTICLE ABOUT COLOURS

Color is important because it helps us to have better memories.
According to ColorCom “color helps us store and process images more efficiently than colorless (black and white) scenes”, therefore we remember colorful images better.
Because of color’s connection to our memories, we also- naturally- connect color to our feelings and emotions. (Yellow is such a happy color right? Or loud?) Designers and artist learn from training how to use color to set an emotional tone for their work. The color palette for a piece of artwork is usually the first thing that is thought about, usually before any words are written. A picture is worth a thousand of those things, right?
According to the text, colours allow us to remember moments we have previously experienced or lived. I could not agree more as, for instance, it is green my favourite colour due to the fact that it reminds me of when my family and I went to the countryside in Spring and it was all green and covered with colourful flowers. Moreover, I also fancy blue as it gives me the feeling of freedom and positive spirit. Both green and blue are colours related to nature and open spaces.

As we early said, green and blue are colours related to nature. For instance, in this picture we can appreciate bright colours which transmit clean fresh air and a connection with wild nature. Blue water creates a sensation of purity as water is not polluted by human actions. In addition, the intensity of the blue in the sky  transmit a sensation of great climate and favorable weather conditions, ideal to spend a relaxing day.

Owing to the fact that I want to learn English and enjoy at the same time, last week I spent some time with my cousins and we played board games all day long. As my older cousin lives in Liverpool, she brought some board games she bought in England and we enjoyed a lot.
